This Myanmar currency note series was the first and only one issued by The People's Bank of Burma in 1965. There are only four notes of the series. The 1 Kyat, the 5 Kyat, the 10 Kyat and the 20 Kyat. The previous issue was demonetized. The obverse or front of this 1 Kyat note is the famous General Aung Sang while the back has a portrait of a fisherman at Inle Lake.
